Duration

The Internship USA program lasts between 5 and 12 months, depending on the field and the type of organization hosting the intern.

Support from Sponsoring Organizations

The organizations managing the program provide support both before arrival and throughout the participants’ stay, ensuring the smooth implementation of the program and assisting with the visa process and securing an internship placement. In Greece, Workation USA guides applicants throughout the application process, while in the United States, their sponsor supports them until the completion of the program.

Internship in Various Fields

Participants can choose a field that matches their studies or professional experience, such as hospitality, finance, information technology, engineering, marketing, and many others. The highest demand from U.S. host companies is in the field of hospitality.
The greatest demand is observed in the hospitality sector from the US side.

There is also the option for participants to find their own employer in the United States, while Workation USA handles the entire process for issuing the necessary documents and visa. These programs are called self-placements and are often offered at a reduced price, typically €200 less. The final cost always depends on the sponsor through which the participant joins the program. Workation USA αναλαμβάνει όλη τη διαδικασία για την έκδοση των απαραίτητων εγγράφων και της βίζας. 
Αυτά τα προγράμματα ονομάζονται self placements και πολλές φορές προσφέρονται σε μειωμένη τιμή, κατά 200€ πιο οικονομικά. Πάντα εξαρτάται από τον σπόνορα με τον οποίο θα λάβει μέρος ο υποψήφιος.

Τo participate in the Internship program, participants must meet the following criteria:

    • Να είσαι ενεργός φοιτητής σε πανεπιστήμιο ή κολέγιο
      ή να έχεις αποφοιτήσει μέσα στους τελευταίους 12 μήνες

    • Το internship πρέπει να είναι απευθείας σχετικό με τις σπουδές σου

    • Να έχεις καλή γνώση αγγλικών

    • Να έχεις επίσημο Job Offer από εργοδότη

    • Να εκδοθεί το DS-2019 (έγγραφα που τα εκδίδει ο οργανισμός από τις ΗΠΑ σε συνεργασία με τo Workation USA)

    • Self Internship program χρειάζεται και να υπάρχει υπογεγραμμένο Training Plan (DS-7002)

Knowledge of English

Knowledge of the English language is essential for effective communication in the workplace.

J-1 visa

Participants are required to obtain a J-1 visa, which allows them to stay and work in the United States for the duration of the program. Workation USA, in cooperation with the official U.S. sponsor, guides and supports participants throughout the process of obtaining their work visa.
